Welcome to Vermillion 2015

Greetings everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday, and new year. Updates have been rather scarce due to my recent involvement in this year’s KCACTF. I placed as a finalist in regional costume designs. Had an amazing time in Milwaukee… looking forward to returning for 2016.

Now, onto what’s going on with Vermillion. First, I’d like to remind you that The Life of Mic Muny and Forever Valiant are still available for purchase as paperback novels at http://www.lulu.com, and as eBooks on whatever provider you buy eBooks from. Second, March 17th is still the release date for the third book in this series Shh… He Is Legend! Book four: Playing God will also be released this year sometime in September. In regards to the sudden halt of Memoirs of a Vermillion Soldier, I assure you that excerpts will continue shortly up until the date of the September release.

I’m almost finished working on a new website for all of my creative work including this series. I’ll post that eventually as well.

EPUB file type

Well, I’ve had a friend of mine purchase an eBook from Lulu.com that he wasn’t able to open. I did some investigation on that and found out that the file type for my eBooks is a .epub file. So, if you happen to purchase one of my ebooks, and are having trouble opening it, that might be why. Let me know if any of you are having problems accessing the files. I’ll be able to fix that on a case by case basis.

New from Vermillion Books

Greetings everyone! Hope all is well! Lately I’ve been typing away adamantly at finishing book 5 of the series. The editing process for the next two books is coming along decently as well. I’ve begun a new project exploring a different consciousness of the Aaron Strent character within the multiverse that is Vermillion. I will be posting excerpts of the new material soon. Just so you know it’s called Memoirs of a Vermillion Soldier, and aside from being published in this blog, I don’t believe I will release it as its own short story.

The new line of story follows Aaron Strent re-awakening as a weaker, younger version of himself in the Vermillion world, after having been murdered in the world he previously came from. He encounters the older, more experienced Aaron Strent who sets him on the path he needs to find out what happened to him in the previous world, who he is now, and where to go from there. I hope you enjoy these snippets as we continue to move closer to a release date for book 3: Shh! He Is Legend!

Pending Excerpts

 Is anybody even seeing these posts? The internet machine keeps telling me that they’re making it through to Twitter and Facebook, but I’m a little skeptical. Oh well… either way, eBooks for sale! Go for it 🙂

 Until then, here’s a series update! I’ve gotten through with editing the first half of the next part of the series “Shh! He is Legend!”, and started doing some editing on book 4 “Playing God” as well. I’ve got an artist signed on to work on pictures for the 4th book, but still need someone to work on book 3 with me. I’m debating on releasing book three before I originally intended, but I’m still not entirely sold on that idea, yet. I’m gonna need more support for that.

 Haven’t really done any writing since I’ve returned from Boston though. Maybe I’ll get to some new stuff this week… or I know, I’ll start posting excerpts finally! I just remembered I was going to do some of that on here. More to come soon

Marketing… how do?

Ok, so I’ve got 2 great products(eBooks specifically), both geared toward an audience of older teens-middle aged adults. First and foremost, it’s comedy. The “sci-fi, fantasy” part is just where the funny happens to be taking place. I’ve got a blog, a forum, two facebooks, and a twitter, and could use a little help finding a way to get this out into mainstream internet to catch the attention of people who actually have eReaders like the Kindles&Nooks. This is a task I know VERY little about how to accomplish.

Ok, that having been announced, I’ve started editing for book#3 of the Vermilion Series: “Shh! He is Legend!”. It will cover the back story of Tsakari Ketetsai, The Legendary All-Around Dude of Some Sort, as well as the mysteriously, and conveniently timed captain of the spaceship Letoh, Zek Kantaro. The story also delves further into the mystery of “Who and what is the Vermillion Organization?”

More to come of course, and soon.

Moving along

Alright, all that’s taken care of. the next thing I’ve got on the list for the series is editing through Book 3 and finding an artist for it. I’ve got the forum re-colored and ready to be seen by human eyes… lol. It used to be bright red with lime green text… it was awful. I darkened it up and brought it close to matching kind of what I have set up here as far as a color scheme.

Alright! Got everything uploaded except the cover photos! 😀 Tommorow’s the big day hopefully! There may be a bit of a snag in my plans as far as distribution approval from what I can tell by reading this agreement Lulu’s got for me. However, everything will be set in motion tomorrow, and the final touches will be complete for the two new books of the Vermilion Series! 🙂

If we don’t see it up for sale tomorrow, it could take anywhere up to 8 more weeks… which by my calculations will put the release date at May 16th. Still in time for spring B)
